1.0 Scope of Works
Scope of Works
The project includes the following elements: -
A 3 phase procedure involving the Demarcation of said areas within the project for the Road Line Markings as required within the given programme time in the contract supplied set by the main contractor.
The operation for Phase1 is as Follows: -
The Issuing of areas ready to receive
Paint Markings and Associated works.
· This will be carried out within Health and Safety guide lines concerning Traffic and Pedestrian Management for the said works of line marking to take place at the above location.
· Designated areas will be laid out for works to commence, and restricted access by others will be implemented until the said works are complete.
· Areas to be marked out prior to painting by way of chalk line, canister Paint or emulsion paint to use as temporary guidelines.
· Line marking /Spraying equipment information to be included within the COSSH data if requested by contractor.
· On completion of said areas all dust /debris and excess materials will be taken and disposed of according to the main contractor environmental requirements and the end of each working day.
Phase 2.
· The same principles will be undertaken by way of isolating areas due for painting, to segregate those unauthorised to the area, until the area is dry and safe to walk or receive the movement of Traffic
· All works are to be carried out by ARM operatives adhering to the correct PPE requirements set out by the main contractor and within the task specific Risk Assessment, throughout the duration of the works
· This method of operation is to be carried out throughout the duration until all works are complete and all associated materials and debris to be cleared and all main contractors H&S requirements have been met.
Phase 3.
On completion of phase2,
A sign Off procedure will be required following an inspection of all works asto allow occupation of finish areas to the main contractor / Client.
For full scope works refer to drawings issued by main contractor.

WORN WITH THESE TOOLS.
4.0 Working Methods
Materials Delivery
§ Initial deliveries of skips will be made to site under the control of
The site security or main Contractors site manager. These will be booked and stored only by arrangement with Arm Ltd Management.
Subsequent site deliveries will comply with the following -
§ Arm Ltd to book times for deliveries and forklifts in advance,
Following the allocation of a temporary storage area.
§ Bookings to be agreed with Site Manager and confirmed in writing
§ All bookings to be scheduled on suitable forms.
§ Information issued to Loading Bay supervisor and Security each afternoon
For the following days work.
§ Materials storage on site will be limited to designated areas and only on a
Short term basis.
Waste Removal –
Arm Ltd Waste removal team to ensure -
· Emptying and clearing all waste to designated
Areas.
· To leave waste or spoil in agreed locations prior to removal from site.
General Works
· Safety measures for power tools must be strictly adhered to.
· Areas during demolition should be designated via clear walkways and working areas, or closed off completely for Health and Safety.
· All waste and debris will be cleared regularly.
ALL OPERATIVES MUST WEAR APPROPRIATE
PPE AT ALL TIMES
5.0 Temporary Lighting and Power
All 110v as supplied within contract.
Main Contractor to supply lighting if required.
Petrol fuel for tools is to be brought to site on a daily basis and remove from site at the end of every working day.
6.0 P.P.E.
The equipment to be worn by all the company's operatives on site will
Consist of: -
(i) Hard Hats
(ii) Safety Footwear (boots with toe protection)
(iii) High Visibility Jackets
Any additional requirements for PPE identified in Risk Assessments to include but not limited to: -
(i) Gloves
(ii) Face Masks or respirators
(iii) Goggles
(iv) Ear Protection

Power Tools Generally
The following rules apply to all items, whether supplied by the Company or outside suppliers:
a) All power tools must be thoroughly inspected before use and at regular intervals thereafter.
b) Faulty tools must never be used.
c) Under no circumstances should tools be left out on site.
d) Tools must be stored in a clean dry store.
e) Ensure that the correct tool is being used for any particular operation.
f) The operator must ensure that the tools are maintained in a satisfactory condition and must notify the Supervisor of any defects.
N.B. EAR AND EYE PROTECTION WILL BE PROVIDED AND WORN WITH THESE TOOLS.

Control measures
Damping down with hosepipe may be required to reduce the amount of dust that may be exuded due the preparation prior to painting.
Main Contractor to ensure that there is an adequate water supply throughout duration of works required.
· Suitable signage to be displayed to warn of works.
· All Operatives to wear appropriate PPE to include dust masks or respirators.
Area to be kept well ventilated to avoid the build-up of dust in moderately confined areas.
8.0 Housekeeping and Storage
All waste material and debris to be cleared by ArmLtd operatives to skips provided on a regular basis.
Materials will be neatly stored adjacent to the works where applicable. Site manager to designate all locations within the site boundary.
